There are 3 important services when it comes to marketing/advertising your website on the Internet. 1) Search Engine Pay-Per-Click Advertising; make sure that your website is found in the Sponsor positions on major search portals (Google) when someone searches on the key products or services your company provides. Learn more. 2) Site Submissions; there are a few major search protals (Google, Yahoo, MSN, and AOL), and literally hundreds of lessor, but still heavily used. You need to make sure that your website is submitted to these portals at minimum, once per year. Most of these search portals will then send out 'spiders' to crawl your site and classify it within their directories. Learn more. 3) Site Directory Submissions; many website search portals are directories, some of the largest ones are human generated (such as DMOZ.org). It is important that your website is found in these directories, but it must be submitted manually. You really only need to have this done once. Learn more. |
